Question:
Who started calling them "THE NUTS"??

O.K. I'm kinda new on this site but I would love to know who started calling the surgeons "NUTS"? I think it's funny but how did it get started?    — Cookie1257 (posted on February 12, 2009)

NUTS refers to the Nutritionists, not the surgeons.

The "Nut" is actually the nutritionist. I used to think it was funny when I first saw it too. Welcome to the site. I hope you make friends and find lots of encouragement here.

Nut is short for NUTRITIONIST, Shrink is short for PSYCHIATRIST, Doc is short for DOCTOR. It just helps to keep things shorter when posting!!! Welcome to our new home for support.
