Question:
HCG injection .has any one ever had ?

i was researching B12 injection. when i cam across a site containing weight loss. there were member on here who mention that they lost .5 to 1 lb a day from the hcg/injection along with b12 injection. I want to know is there any boy living in the NJ era and know a doctor who administer the shots along with the diet plan. I have chatted with a few people from the Florida era who said great things about this. and have successfully lost 50 lbs. in less then 3 months    — yvettetas (posted on February 26, 2008)

I'd never heard of such a thing. It's rather interesting though....because I took an HCG injection while doing infertility treatments many years ago. I'd be on pergonal for several weeks, then when they figured I was ready to ovulate, I'd get the HCG shot...and OMG... would I ovulate! It would actually be painful because I had so many follicles (eggs) that released. It was for intra-uterine inseminations that never resulted in a pregnancy. We ended up concieving on our own... over 8 years later. A miracle of God I say. I wonder though.... how it works to help you lose weight? Keep us all posted dear...hugs and best of luck! Cheryl

hcg is a hormone. They do use it for infertility as well as they use it a s a level marker when you are prtegnant. i would not suggest using hormones to loose weight quicker. good luck

I've never had an HCG injection, but I do B12 injections because I absolutely cannot absorb enough B12 through foods or any other method (I am severely intolerant to them). Never noticed that the B12 helps with weight loss, though maybe it's indirect because without the vitamins I don't have much energy..... I would think that HCG would be monkeying with your normal hormone levels (similar to birth control) and you may find yourself gaining like crazy if you ever stop shots, but I don't know. Good luck!

Be careful. After having WLS surgery some things may back fire. I have had injections both by a doctor and accupuncturist, they both back fired and I had uncontrollable cravings and was hungry all the time. Good old fashioned self-discipline will get you where you want to be.

Hello: I took HCG Injections on a WL program back in the 70's. They suplemented it with a 1200 calorie a day diet, water pills and a diet pill. My answer to this is yes, I did lose weight, was it the HCG, NO not in my opinion. Anyone will lose weight if they stick to 1200 calories a day and take water pills and diet pills. I was told that HCG is a hormon found in pregnant women's urine. Sounds kinda sick but that's what I was told. Anyhow, I don't think this is used much anymore, it doesn't work for the long term unless you maintain the diet. Sorry
