Question:
United Healthcare Choice Plus?

Hi-I read thru the insurance section about my UHC on this website. But they were mostly from a few years ago. Did anyone have this insurance? And how was the response time for you? Thank you so much! Kayla    — Kayla (posted on January 27, 2006)

Hi Kayla - I have UNHC - I was approved the first time! My BMI was 55, I had high blood pressure, high cholestorol, arthritus, they were watching for diabetis. I am only 5ft tall. My surgery date was 11/7/05. Hope this helps.

I have UHC ( I live in TX) & I had my consultation on 11/11, & got the approval call in early December. My surgery was scheduled 1/19. Good luck & Gob Bless!!!

I just started with uhc at the first of the year (06) and got aproval over the phone, the same day they submited. I had my surgery on the 26. I am sill in pain but for the most part all went well.

Hello, I also have UHC choice plus and I was denied after the first letter. I am pre-diabetic & my BMI is over 60. I am 26 years old & have been overweight my entire life. The reason they denied me is because my EMPLOYER has an exclusion written in that they need 5 yrs of documented weight. Not any weight loss attempts, just my recorded weight for the last 5 yrs. Unfortunately I didn't have that info ready when I appllied for approval. So now I am just waiting ....again. Hope this info helps!! Good luck with everything!
