Hey Sandy -- my doctor's office recommends Benefiber -- the powder. You can stir it into any liquid and you want taste a thing. I've put it in tea and my protein drink. Give that a try. Hope that helps.

Hi, check with your DR, I was nervous when I had the band put in because I took a lot of medications and some were big. It turns out when my band was put in, it wasn't adjusted yet. They told me when I went for my first adjustment. So if it was put in and not adjusted the opening to your stomach should be the same size as before the operation and you can swallow the pills without worry. Call your DR and ask him. Dan

I would suggest you call and your doc for approval, but the best thing I have found through all my past surgeries that the only thing that works (and works well without giving you stomach cramps) is Phillips' Milk of Magnesia. Best of luck to you my friend. - Shannon

Gel s or gel caps are GELATIN. Try putting it in your mouth for 15-30 seconds. When it starts to get sticky and flat, then swallow it,. No taste and the saliva has already begun the breaking down process. Gelatin dissolves in saliva, not water. Fibers and the other stuff is nice, but you can take stool softener for life.
