My brother buys these bullets all the time. He loves them. I tried one of his and thought it was just too sweet to drink. He gets them online.

protein bullets are low quality protein and absolutely useless. The only "bullet" I use is my Magic Bullet to make my protein shake with good quality, easily absorbed protein every morning.

Thanks for your help. I have a surgery date of 02/02/2009 & my last preop appointments next week. I was just trying to get all my ducks in a row and be prepared for this great new life. Once again, thanks. Donna

I use New Whey protein bullets they have 42 gm protein each. Some people feel the protein is not the same or as good so I did some research and found a great article on the site : SusanMariesBeforeandAfter I think its also bariatriceating.com. That helped me alot on just what different types of protein drinks/mixes are, which ones are better for us bariatric patients vs bodybuilders or other general people who may choose to use protein supplements for weightloss/gain/healthy eating. They are not the cheapest way to get protein, but when you add a bullet to 16oz of water and add a little sugar free crystal light type mix or even sf koolaid it cuts down the sweetness and makes a more koolaide type drink instead of a 'shake'. For me a pleasant change since I've never been a big 'shake' drinker. When buying bullets you want to be sure which ones you are buying because you can get 27 gm bullets cheaper priced per bullet but there is a difference between 27 gm and 42gm. I just bought a whole lot from GNC because of the sale they have going on until the 10th. Buy one get one 1/2 off and if your a gold card member you get the added 20% discount too! Between both the discount and the special sale the cost per bullet dropped quite a lot. Good luck.

Walmart. $1.99 and 3.29. A few flavors. Remember a bullet is just a serving size of protein. You want to follow your post op program closely so your physician can monitor your progress and make any changes needed to enhance your weight loss experience and make your transition a healthy one. I obtain mine off of eBay and they are called IDS New Whey Liquid Protein 42g. They came in orange, grape, blue raspberry, and fruit punch. I can not stand to drink them straight so I mix each bullet with 1 1/2 cups water and add 2 Splenda packets. Adding ice even makes them better.
