This is normal. It is the gas they use for the operation. I had it for almost two weeks and it was the worst part of the operation for me. Best of Luck.

Yes, this is normal. You need to force yourself to walk as much as possible regardless of pain. The more you move the better you will feel later. I got out of bed during the night and walk around the house and that help relieve pain and gas. Keep moving.

It is the gas that is causing the pain, but my doctor(and there all different) told me 9 times of walking 5 minutes a day and gradually work your way up to more minutes a day.

My surgeon told me it's gas. You may get pains in other areas too; shoulders, side, abdomen, ribs.... My surgeon told me to walk, take Gas-x, and take Colace stool softener every day.

do shorter walks, stretch your arms slowly, breath deep to get things moving. it will make you feel better, and it will change.

Ouch, ouch, ouch. You might want to try shorter walks more frequently... three ten minute walks is the same as one thirty minute walk. Hang in there. It will get better.

Use Gas X, it helped me the most. I also agree it was the worst part of the surgery.

The gas can be treated with gas-x or bean-o, but walking is by far the best thing for it. You will be healing inside a long time after the outside is a memory. Do what you can now and increase as you are able, but whatever you do, don't become discouraged and quit trying. You are in a six month honeymoon period and will never have as easy a time for weight loss as you do right now. People often stop losing after a year to a year and a half.
