Hi, YES, it does here in Florida. I had to check with MEDICAID here first, see what all the pre-reqs were and do them all. For me, it was 1yr of Dr charted weightloss visits(means a DR visit every 30days) it didnt matter that I did or did NOT loose weight, just be well documented in DR's note so they(your DR can fill out paper work) then, had to see a Bariatric surg. did that and he had several things he wanted done..did ALL those check ups..sleep apnea, cariac, gastric look down to stomach, mental eval. Did everything and then my surg. requested surg approval from Medicaid..that came aweek later and had surg. a few weeks later. ALL went well I'm almost 1yr out and doing well! My surg.was/is FANTASTIC! Just remember to keep copies of ALL your paper work and keep it in order. Be happy to help you in anyway you need! SEE YOU ON LOSERS BENCH!

I live in NJ and they (Medicaid) paid for my VSG in full. I did need 6 months supervised weight loss history but they did cover the surgery in full.

I live in Pennsylvania and had the RNY done April 20th. I have medicare and medicaid, they paid for everything, I didn't pay a cent. They will cover it, I just had to go through a 6 month diet that was being documented by the doctor and had to have numerous tests done. It took about 10 months from start to surgery, but it was worth the wait.
