i have bcbs of ca, it took 5 days. call the member services number on your card for preauthorizations. they will tell you and they will also tell you if the dr has sent in the info.

I have BCBS AL. and after my paperwork was summitted to the insurance company,it took less than 2 weeks to get approved.

I also have BC/BS of Alabama and it was about 2 weeks.
