Does anyone know of a surgeon in Cincinnati? There are many hospitals including a major teaching hospital. This database doesn't seem very complete.    — Margaret M. (posted on February 6, 2000)

I know there is a Dr. that performs the surgery at Christ Hospital. I am not sure if he specializes in this field. I live in Cinti. and I went to Bariatric Treatment Center in Columbus. Also, there is a Dr. Fallang that performs the surgery in Middletown , Oh.which is about a 30 min drive from Cinti.Unfortunately I do not know the name of the surgeon at Christ Hosp. Hope this helps.

Dr. J. Wesley Alexander does the RNY surgery. His office is located right next door to University Hospital. He is a great surgeon and also does transplant surgeries. Great reputation in town. Even though he is located next to U.C. Hopst, he does his surgeries at Christ Hospital. I had my surgery on 1/27/00, and I'm doing fine.

Dr Moreira did mine at Jewish hospital. He also works at Christ # is 281-1252. He is very good. I have lost 125 lbs since 9-30-99 but it has been a month since i weighed in.

Dr. Fallang is about 30 mins north of Cincinnati in Middletown. He did my surgery and did a wonderful job. I highly recommend him and his staff. E-mail me if you need some more info. [email protected].

Dr. Wesley Alexander, works at the Christ and University Hospitals in Cincinnati. He does not separate the pouch from the stomach. He is informative and does not mind being "grilled" about the procedure. Has very little after care program.
