you should contact your doctor if it is a concern for you. The only not good question is the one you do not axk.

Definitely make a call to your surgeon's office. I would think he would want to check that out. Could be a hernia forming.

Always contact your doc if u have any concerns:) I would say possible scar tissue I had my surgery RNY 7/08 and got small scar tissue that went away. when I had my hysterectomie I got scar tissue the size of tennis balls right on the scar line, eventually it went away I wish u the best during this new journey

I also have a lump under one of my incisions. I was told that it's most like scar tissue. I was told to massage the area daily to soften the scar tissue. If you're worried, though, call your surgeon.

Hello,I am post op 2 month now and my lump is finially starting to go away. Make sure you get plenty of protein that will help. Yes tell doc. but we all get that and get scared when I told my Dr. he said protein, protein, protein is a healing tool as much as a weight tool relax it is a long road to where we need to be and there are still so many unanswered questions going onin our mind I don't think they will ever all be answered. God Bless and good luck.Toni

Shortly after surgery, I got a lump under one of my drainage incisions. I went and saw the doctor and it was cyst of fluid that hadn't drained. He drained it, which didn't hurt at all because the incision site was still numb. It did occur again, but popped and drained on it's own. This was just a couple of weeks out of surgery, and I don't know how far out you are. After that, when the incision was healed, it got a lump again. The doc checked it out and said that it is a healing ridge - basically scar tissue. He told me exercise would help, so after he cleared me, I started volunteering at the local animal shelter walking dogs. The way they pull when they walk helped, and the ridge is gone. I had my RNY almost 3 months ago.

Thanks everyone for your help. I will give my dr. a call tomorrow. It probably is scar tissue, but for those of you who had it did it hurt? (It is the larger incision, the one he put the camera through). Other then this one thing everything is going great !
