hi, I got banded November 9th and my port site hurt sooooo bad too. I thought it might be infected because when i moved i would have some burning.. But no worries it goes away gradually by about 7 days and after two weeks I had no pain... I did eat yogurt, broth with protien and a shake in a can called pure protein with 35 grams of protein.. It wasn't to bad.. Jello and sugar free fruit popcycles were a life saver.. hope this helps and good luck.

I had the same thing and asked the Dr about it last week and he said it is ok, its just healing. Everyday it feels better than the day before. Hope you are feeling better soon.

My port site hurt for several months, and it still hurts occasionally if I sit for too long or if I hit it. As for what you can eat, your doctor should have given you an eating plan to go by. My plan allowed me to eat soft foods within 5 days, so I was eating well-cooked veggies, cottage cheese, pudding, and yogurt the week after my surgery. I was really hungry for real food already, so I was glad my doctor allowed me to eat that soon. I was just very careful and took tiny bites.

I was banded on 12/11/07 and my port site hurts every time I bend over or turn too quickly. I'll let you know if it gets any better.
