Question:
Doctor's in SC or near by states

I'm in desperate need of wls and have no insurance, does anyone know of any doctors is SC or near by states that does payment plans for people in my situation?    — ms.betty (posted on January 10, 2008)

If you know where the Lexington Medical Center is in Columbia, SC, I recommend them. The office is called Riverside Surgical and there number is 803-791-2828.

That is not true because I work in surgery at a hospital where we do plenty of bariactric surgeries and we have have beds designed to hold at least 1000 lbs. This hospital is also labeled as a center of excellence in bariactric surgeries i'm not sure if that makes a difference or not but I would definitely do more research on this issue.

Do you have medicaid? I believe they will pay for surgery. I had medi-cal here in California and they paid for the whole gastric bypass for me 2 years ago. I now have medicare and they are paying for the duodenal switch for me this time, but I do have out of pocket costs.
