Scales can vary from one scale to another. Most doctors offices will have theirs calibrated every so often to see if it is accurate, but they will fluctuate. Another thing that can mess up your scale at home is if it is on soft carpet. The other thing that makes a big difference on your weight is the time of day you weigh and/or your clothing and if you are wearing shoes. For the best accuracy, make sure you scale is on a hard, flat surface and weigh at the same time of day, unclothed. (for example- first thing in the morning when you awaken, after using the bathroom).

Weight loss is frustrating. (Speaking from experience) Feel free to take a look at my website. www.advocare.com/09033631 My sister started the shakes and the slims and lost 12 lbs in 2 weeks. I went to an Advocare meeting and one of the woman that sat behind me said she lost 15 lbs. in 2 weeks. The great thing about this product is it is great for before surgery and after. The company stands behind their products 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed. The shakes have 24 grams of protein and they have 3 different flavors. If you have any further questions, call me at 715-879-4065 or 715-577-7344. My name is Patty

I agree with the first response. I was going to tell you not to freek out. Every scale can be different and the time of day is a huge thing. Weigh yourself when you first get in the am. Do not weigh every day. Pick one scale whether it is yours or your dr and stick with what that says. I go by the one in my home since it is more accurate if you weigh first thing in the morning before you start eating and drinking for the day.

Yep, scales are definitely different. What I ended up doing was buying a scale that has the dial on it. The scale I had was way off, by like 10 pounds, and I bought a different one which was electronic, and that was off also. Finally, I just bought a cheap scale with the dial, and after I went to the bariatric doc, I came home and set it to what theirs said. I just took off shoes and socks like I did in the office. I haven't had any problem since, and every time I have gone back to the doc, the scale has been the same. Just pick which docs weight you are going to use and stick with that.

When I had my surgery we had to go by the scale at the Bariatric Center. It was a pretty hi-tech one. So the best advise I can give is to set yours by the one at your doctor's office at the bariatric center.
