There is a recipe exchange on the OH site, go to the forum section and click on the more options and go to nutrition. On the main page, also, I think there is a link. a good rule of thumb for the protein shakes is that they are no more than 200 cal per serving and <8grm sugars per serving. EAS puts out a good shake. I spike it with flavorings. There are ads everywhere for protein sources.... good luck

I forgot, the following websites are good references: WEBSITES FOR NUTRITIONAL GUIDELINES AFTER WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY Website: http://cms.Clevelandclinic.org/bariatricsurgery/body.cfm?id88 Website: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/gastric-bypass-diet/wt00007 Website: http://www.stronghealth.com/services/surgical/bariatric/diet.cfm

Karen is this a clear liquid diet? If so get some crystal light -- peach and pink lemonade are my favorites. Hit the vitamin store for Isopure No Carb Liquid Protein and mix with water -- don't buy the orange -- its nasty --even with water. Tea -- Celestial seasonings because they are caffeine and sugar free. These are some of the liquids you will be drinking post-op so its a good idea to experiment to see which ones you like. I still drink the Isopure and mix it with about a quarter cup of water -- it has 40 grams of protein.

You can use sugar free jello and sugar free popsicles, Special K protein water tastes great...only has 5 grams of protein, but better than water with none! Also, chicken broth in the pourable containers is great so you dont have to open cans...can pour out what you need only. Beef broth tastes greasy...I don't like it. Sugar free carnation instant breakfast is good, and when you need to get away from the sweet things, try strained soups...I found that Campbell's select (in the box) has a great portabello mushroom that is easy enough to strain, and has great flavor...also the butternut squash, with a bit of chicken broth added!

V-8 Splash (diet), the liquid from wonton soup, strained egg drop soup (that saved me during the liquid phase), sugar free jello, the broth from ramen noodles. Hope this helps. :-)
