Question:
I NEED TO FIND A PCP THAT IS OPEN TO THE BYPASS SURGERY.

MY PCP HAS NO IDEA WHAT BEING BADLY OVERWEIGHT IS LIKE. HE GAVE ME A 10 SENTENCE LETTER SAYING HOW IT IS NOT A CONCERN RIGHT NOW. I'M 5'9" AT A WEIGHT OF 270LBS. MY BMI IS AROUND 39.9. BUT, MY ORTHOPEDIC SURGEN WROTE ME THE MOST AWSOME LETTER FOR THE SURGERY. I STILL NEED A PCP LETTER. I WILL TRAVEL FAR FOR A DOCTOR THAT UNDERSTANDS AND CARES. I HAVE MEDICARE/MEDICAID. I am four weeks postop, and I never even discussed the surgery with my PCP, I went to my appoinment at the GB clinic and when they asked for a referral I simply went into the Dr office and asked the receptionist fora referral and gave them the info and no prob.

I dont know where Uniontown Ohio is but if it is anywhere near Mason Ohio- North of Cincinnati, I have an excellent PCP who is very pro WLS. Her name is Dr Brenda Lawson. Her office number is 513-336-9291. You would have to ask if she accepts your insurance. Good luck!

I see Dr. Paul Martin in Dayton, OH ..he is pro wsl his number is 937/277-1722 good luck there are Doc out there that understand. Missy
