Hi.. Sorry you are not well..but call your DR. that is why they get paid to deal with us. We are not a bother to them. We here are not Dr's and cant give you medical advice. Do not wait CALL the Dr. Wish you well.

I had gastric bypass surgery in 2006. I also work as a medical assistant for a different bariatric surgeon in Virginia. We would suggest you take Tylenol for the pain and you will need to call your doctor for a prescription for Phenergan for your nausea. It would also be a good idea to make an appointment with your doctor to rule out a hernia. Hope you feel better.

I have not had surgery yet, but I was very sick before after a previous sugery and I thought that I had done something to what my Dr. had fixed but it ended up being that I had thown up so much that all my muscles in my throat and my chest and stomache hurt for days. So yes I think you could hurt from that. But you should still call your Dr. I hope you feel better. Stacie E.

I agree --you need to call your surgeon. You could have a stricture (spelling)? you should not be vomiting everything, If fluids don't stay down it sounds like a stricture ..but please get checked out. We are not medical people and can only tell you of our own experiences. I have heard people talk of strictures all the time in support gorup...it is easy to remedy...hope you end up ok soon! hugs,Kim

If pain pills make you sick, then a pain patch will make you sick too. It's all the same medicine... narcotics/opiates. You are probably sore from vomiting, but you need to check in with your surgeon about this (and also the person who prescribed the patch).
