Is it possible to get life insurance pre-operatively? Any suggestions?

I sell life insurance for a living. I just checked with our underwriters on this question. Before surgery, you get the rates you qualify for. After surgery, if you had VBG, you have to maintain your reduced weight for 1 year before considered "thin." If you have RYN, you can qualify 1 year "post-op" since the majority of your weight is permanently off. Feel free to email me if you have any additional questions.
