Question:
Looking for surgeon to perform laparoscopic procedure in AZ

The bariatric doctors I know of in Arizona perform the open RNY procedure, but I want the lap procedure. I am going to phoenix on the 22nd for an informational seminar, but it will be on the open procedure. Does anyone know of doctors in AZ that perform this laparoscopically? Kimberly    — kim C. I belive that Dr. Juarez who is in the office with Dr. Zahn, does the lap procedure. I know that someone there is beginning to use it. Good luck.

As far as I know Dr. Juarez in Phoenix is the only one doing the lap procedure. He is at St. Luke's Hospital with Dr. Zahn. If the seminar you are going to on the 22nd is at Good Sam it will probably be led by Dr. Newhoff.

Dr. Juarez has a seminar the 25th in Phoenix, their 800 number is 800-248-5553. The people I've spoken to seem very nice. Now I just have to call for directions to the seminar:) Sara
