Question:
no medical supervised diet

I was denied by health net hmo in calif. because I didn't have any Dr. supervised diet. I have tried all diets but no dr. supervised diet. I am told that I have to be on a dr. supervised diet for 1 year. Now, what I need to know is if anyone had to do this too and for how long? After 7 or 8 months go by do you think I can start the paperwork again for the surgery?? A year is sooo long. It use to be only a 6 month medical supervised diet and health net extended it to 1 year. and what if they change it again to 2 years while iam doing my year?? Will I have to do another year???? I'm having the same problem right now...if I could stay on a diet for a year than I might not need this surgery. Help!
