I am a member of a group of WLS people over the age of 50. It is call The Oldies Of Weight Loss Surgery, or TOOWLS. All you have to do to join is send an e-mail to the founder Boomasmom @aol.com and she will send you an invitation to join. I am 61 my DH is 62.

I had WLS on 5/08/03 and Im 63 years old. I have been very pleased with the results. I could not walk 2 blocks without resting now I can do two miles easily. I think it depends on your overall health. My doctors say they have done people in ther 70's if the conditons are right.

I am 63 and had WLS surgery June 4, have lost 48 pounds, and despite some early complications I feel great now.
