Question:
I went to pre op Fri and after reading my EKG

the anesthesiologist asked if I knew that I had had a heart attack, totally freaked me out, they called Dr Champion and he made an appt. for me for Mon with a cartiologist. I am hoping that this just a precaution so that the anestiologist will be covered in case of problems during surgery, has anyone had a similar experience? I am sooo ready for this surgery. There are many people, especially diabetics, who have silent heart attacks. My grandfather had one and found out about it years after. He only remembered being very tired for a couple of days. He was diabetic and so was friend who had one. This probably won't cancel your surgery but they will take certain precautions they may not have before.Seems to me to be another reason to have the surgery. Good luck
