I AM 5'10 AND WAS 274 PRO OP. MY BMI WITH MY HEIGHT WAS NOT QUITE 40 SO I "SHRUNK" WITH MY DOCTORS HELP TO 5'8 SO I DID QUALIFY.

I am 5'9 269 lbs at surgery Dec 18th 2000 today I am 174 size 10 =) My doc also made me 5'8

Hi...I am 5'10" and was 336 pre-op. I had my surgery on 14 Aug 01 and am now 298. My doc had me at 5'9" which I KNOW is not true. I have to by my clothing in talls to get the length in the pants to fit.

Hi! I'm 5'9 1/2" or so and was 307 lbs when I had my laparoscopic BPD/Ds on January 25, 2001. :) I was around 315 at my consult but I was able to lose some weight before the surgery. My bmi was 45 at the time of surgery. I am 8 months post-op and am ALMOST at the 100 lbs lost mark -- I have about 8 more lbs to go! Then, I want to lose at least another 30 or so in order to be at my 'ideal' weight range. I feel like I'm going in for the home stretch now! All the best,

I am 5'9 (according to the Dr.)use to be 5'10", and had an open RNY on Aug 2, 2001. I am 8 weeks post op today and as of the 7th week post op, I had lost 64lbs! It's hard for me to see when I look in the mirror, but clothes don't lie!

I'm 5'9". I used to be 5'11" before the MO. Highest weight was 280. I had open RNY on 7/18 and am already down 45 lbs. Any other questions? Feel free to e-mail me!

Hi! I'm 6 feet tall and my starting weight was 343. I am 6 weeks post of from lap RNY and I am at 295.5. My goal is 167.
