Question:
Carbs: How much is too much?

I'm directing this to long term post-ops...those who are at least two years post-op. Do you still count grams? I'm trying (desperately) to lose another 25lbs. Carb are my problem...I've eliminated almost all the simple carbs from my diet. No bread/crackers/flour/sugar potatoes. I lost 9 pounds in January doing that. But, now I'm stalled. Should I limit my conssumption of complex carbs (fruits, veggies, whole grains)? Will that help me lose weight? If so, how many grams per day? I'm taking in about 75-100 grams of complex carbs now. Exersize and water aren't an issue....I get plenty of both. Does there come a point when you just can't lose anymore weight...even if you are still "overweight". I started at 370 and I'm down to 220. I still have plenty of fat to lose (lol). My personal goal is only 195.    — margaret N. (posted on February 13, 2002)
