Can anyone recommend a surgeon in Northern VA

Hi,
I am having surgery Friday in Baltimore. I am not sure how 'northern' in VA
you are, so I am not sure if this is too far for you. I am from PA and it
is 1 1/2 hours for me. The name of my dr is Dr. Vanguri. He does both open
RNY and open BPD/DS. He is in the computer under Finding a Dr. So far he
has been great and several who post on here have him as their surgeon. Good

I will e-mail you privately with my home phone. Dr. Anez did my surgery on
May 10th, and he is great. He has many patients in the No. VA area. There
is also a fiar amount of info on him on this site.

Dear Angela
I also had Dr. Anez and had my surgery Sept 8th 1999,I have lost a total
weight of 140 and I feel great.Dr Anez is real quiet butt a good surgeon
and I would give anyone his name.He now does surgery at potomac hospital in
Woodbridge va.

Angela, another good surgeon in the NoVA area (who did my surgery) is Dr.
William Roll. He is at Fair Oaks. If you look up his information on this
website, you will find a phone number and more information.

My Docotr was Dr. Joseph Afram, on M Street in Washington DC.
He uses Columbia Hospital for Women for his surgery. He has
been doing this surgery for many years. He has also participated
in discussions about this surgery on television and many seminars.
He also has a organized support group. He is associated with Weight
for Life. I highly reccomend him... His phone number is

There is also a Doctor Inez (I amnot sure of the spelling) he
works out of Fair Oaks Hospital. My girl friend had her surgery
with Him. I dont have a phone # for address for him.
