Hi Kris, We are also self employed and had Mega. They have an exclusion and researching on this site the insurance its been said they never cover WLS. Now that said, my daughter had surgery last year and they are a terrible insurance company. We paid big bucks and ended up paying over 10k out of pocket for her OUT PATIENT surgery. They are awful. I don't know if you have Staff Leasing in your area, but I'm sure you will have something like it. Its a company that does payroll, workman's comp, insurance, all that stuff. We have saved alot of money by going with them, not only insurance but other things. We now have BCBS health options HMO. I will end up paying out of pocket around $500. They approved me within days. Good Luck and check out the insurance page on this site.. look under Mega. Hugs
