Question:
I wanted to know if any overweight women have a problem with the private area in

terms of how it looks. As long as I can remember, even when I was young, my private area was very low hung, almost like a second stomache. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it from weight or something else?    — [Anonymous] (posted on August 3, 2001)

I know exactly what you are talking about. I even asked a member that had an abdominoplasty if it would help with a fat pubic area and she said it did. I am very self-conscious about it even though me and my husband and my GYN are the only ones to see it. I am going to ask the surgeon when I am ready for the tummy tuck if it will take care of the problem. Because I have lost alot of weight in the past but that area always stayed fat and saggy.

hey i have this "second mini stomac to haahah how ugly embarassing and annoying things... it causes me problem when its time to wipe and stuff, its showing when i wear a too ajusted skirt, its difficult to fit it properly in my pants and forget about bathing suit... its the part i hate the most in my body and even if the plastic surgeon dont regulary fix this aerea i will ask for another surgery or something like that because i feel very bad about this part of my body... You are not alone !

Yes, it's definitely from the weight. I'm still 48 days preop open RNY, but both my sisters are years post op. When they had the tummy tuck, that helped pull things up quite a bit, but my one sister went for a lower body lift, to make her pubic area look more normal, it also tighterned her backside and her legs down to her knees. I wouldn't go through that much pain just for that but it really bothered her. She had some serious complications, also, but she's very happy to have had it done, and looks incredible.

I know what you mean. I'm a guy with the problem. Good thing I've always been celibate as I would have to wear a bag over my head if I was intimate. ;) I've lost around 70 pounds (120 more to go) and hope it takes it away. ;)
