Question:
Has anyone who has had an open procedure ever experienced a clicking type sensation?

I am experiencing a clicking type sensation right under my breast bone, located near the top of my incision. It does not hurt and it is not constant...it seems to happen when i move certain ways, but does not happen all the time. It almost is the same type of sensation as if you were running your finger nail across your pants and it got sort of caught up in the seam of your pants for a split second. I know, sound freakin crazy! I called my doctor and he said that it is the deep stitches...but it still freaks me out a little and everyone keeps on telling me that they never heard of such a thing. If anyone has experienced this please let me know, you might help me regain my sanity since whenever I tell people about this they look at me like i'm crazy.    — sophiamaria127 (posted on April 2, 2003)

Yes, I had this sensation for about 6 months maybe a little shorter time, but it eventually went away. It did it if I bent a certain way. 9 months postop and I am absolutely normal.
