Question:
does anyone know of acceptability of medicaid for wa.state

i need the gastric bypass and as of now wa state is not paying due to the fact they need to redetirmine if its medically necessary    — RAINS (posted on June 2, 2004)

When I called to check on the self pay cost in Spokane at Sacred Heart a couple of years ago the first thing they did was encourage me to try to get on WA state Medicaid, or in my case my own state's medicaid. From what I understand of WA state is the the actual state medicaid DOES pay for it. The state funded insurance plan for lower income folks/families does not though. Hope this helps.
