Question:
having a hysterectomy, will it interfere with having gastric bypass?

I had a hysterectomy many years ago which left a vertical scar below my belly button. Caused no problem at all with RNY since I had LAP and all the little incisions were above the belly button.

I've had a c-sect, surgery for endometreosis, gall bladder removed, hernia, and hysterectomy, none of this caused any problems in getting approved or actually having the surgery. LapRNY 5/15/03.

I'm not a physician. You might consider scarring. Would it be possible for you to have to Hysto after the GP?
