Would like to hear from post ops that had Dr Champion in Georgia

Hi...I think I've decided on Dr Champion in Georgia even though I'm on the west coast....had heard is excelent and very experienced in the LAP RYN....please comment..thanx    — Debora H. (posted on July 9, 2000)

I had lap-RNY with Dr. Champion in April of 1999. I am at my goal weight now and in a size 4 from a size 26/28. Champion is a wonderful surgern. The only thing I feel is lacking is the follow up care I was given . I returned for one post -op visit at my 6 weeks date .There is no letters, visits or calls after that date , or with me anyways. It's possible he's changed this with time ,someone newer may know. Also , I feel he doesn't stress the important extra protien we need. This site taught me how important protien was but somewhat late , if you note my profile on this site ,the hair is alot shorter now <grin> Had to lose alot before knowing protien was needed more than in breakfast drinks and such. Champion did so wonderful with the cutting and all , scars are like small scraches and healing was fast. Northsaid hospital is also a wonderful hospital! It is small but well worth useing,very clean, nurses are caring and understanding . Hope this all helps,God bless and good luck my friend.
