Question:
Does anyone know of a WLS support group in the Houston, Texas area?

I feel so all alone. Can anybody help? I live south of Houston.    — Donna G. (posted on October 2, 2001)

There are two that I know of. One is the first sunday of every month at Park Plaza Hospital, The other meets the third Sunday of each month at Cy-Fair Hospital. You are welcome at either meeting. Come check us out.

Hi Donna. With your living in Texas City I think the Neweigh group would be pretty close to you. They are near the Astrodome at roughly Fannin and OST. Their website is www.neweighweb.com. The support groups meet at 6:00 (preops and newbies) and 7:00 PM (longer-term postops) every Wednesday. They may soon be changing this to Tuesday to coincide with the dr's new schedule. The group is very open and there is usually a lively discussion (or two or three) going on.
