Question:
My weight loss is slow and now I'm not loosing any inches either what am I doing wron

I am eating the right things and getting in all my liquid. I exercise three-four times a week with weight trainning and walking 2 miles. The first month inches were leaving me now nothing I am six weeks out down 33 pounds and staying there I am worried most people say when your not loosing anything weight wise you loose inches not me what do I do?    — Alicia K. I had a 3 week plateau at 5 weeks, so I know what you mean. Don't worry, the weight will come off and this period of no loss will pass also. I was scared that I was going to be the one that didn't lose the weight, but after the 3 week plateau, I lost 13 pounds in the next 3 weeks. So hang in there, you are not going to be the one that the surgery doesn't work for. :) Just keep on doing what you're doing.

I too hit a plateau early on and thought I was the person that this wasn't going to work for. I am now 5 months post op and down 107 pounds. Keep up what you are doing and it will start to just fall off you. Good luck and Happy New Year.

I am 7 wks post op and down 33 lbs, of which I have been stuck at for two weeks. The three weeks before that, I was stuck at being down only 23 lbs. I am hoping I get off this plateau soon, I hate it. Seems like the pounds don't want to move, and my clothes are not much looser yet either. I am very frustrated too. I hope this works out for all of us, I would just like to be able to know when I am full (which I don't), so I have to measure my food, and I would also like to be able to dump on sugar or rich foods, but I don't. So in a way, my body is not yet realizing it has had weight loss surgery, I hope it finally kicks in soon.

I am at my 5 week post op also. I have lost a total of 40 lbs in the first 4 weeks. I am now at a plateau. I exercise everynight and have since I have been home from the hospital. I am just patient and when the time comes, the weight will go! Think positive!!

Hey all!!!! Breathe in , Breathe out.... I have your answer. My doc told me that women, because we naturally retain water and some of us also menstruate, of course, lose the weight mostly between the 3rd-9th months. I was also worried about the same thing. He reassured me that everything would be fine. Open RNY-11/21 am down 35 pounds...
