Question:
Has anyone had to loose 200-250 pounds?

How much did you loose the first year? How much the second? Did it come off easy or was it hard? Did you have a lot of excess skin? Did you exercise with it? I am sorry for so many questions, I am 350 and I need to be about 130. I am trying to get an idea of what is instore... and my time for all 200+ pounds to be totally gone (if possible). I know everyone is different too, I am taking that into account, but I would like an idea. Thanks!!!    — heather S. (posted on March 15, 2003)

Before my procedure, I was 460 pounds. I had my procedure on 2/12/02 and today, on 3/16/03, I weigh 194 pounds, that is 266 lost in a little over a year. I am still loosing. I have some excess skin, although it is not as bad as I thought it would be, it is in my mid section, and there is quite a bit of it, but, as far as hanging off of arms and legs, it is not that bad, but I am due for a tummy tuck, I have to have it. It was not hard to loose at all, just did what my doctor, Steven Olchowski in Wilmington, NC told me to do, followed the plan, used the bypass as a tool, did some exercise ( not much, but some, like walking two-three times a week) and have done well. Just be patient, it will come off if you follow the plan and listen to you health care providers. Take Care.

Hi, I am 14 months out. I was 410 I have lost 198 so far. The first was easy, now I work for it but it is a labor that I found out I really enjoy ( exercise is your friend ). I only weigh myself once a month, I don't stress it, this is a great ride and I am really loving it. You will get out of this what you want to put into it. Eat what your suppose to follow the guide lines and it will work, it is a no brainer.
