Question:
what could it be

I had open rny. I have a stretching pulling pain below my scar which is above my belly button. I also have the same pain on right side of my scar. Does anyone have any idea what this could be. Thanks Missy    — Melissa S. (posted on February 14, 2004)

Sounds like adhesions (scar tissue). Call your doctor.

I have the same thing! I don't know what it is, but mine is also beside where my scar was prior to my tummy tuck. I was concerned maybe it was a hernia? Would the plastic surgeon see a hernia during a tummy tuck? I am one year post-op, but have had this odd pain since about three months post-op.

Is there anything they can do if it is adhesions? I go see my doctor in two weeks.

Hi, I am 10 months out and have the same pain! I just called the Dr and was told it was common to have scar tissue build up. They pains are all over my stomach area, really pain full by the scars. I was told not to worry it is fine...But is still scary! Good luck to you
