Question:
Does anyone know of a surgeon in Chattanooga TN that accepts TNCARE SELECT?

So far all of the doctors that I have contacted in the Chattanooga area do not accept TNCARE. Has anyone on TNCARE had this surgery done in Chattanooga? Or have you had to go to Knoxville or Nashville?    — Twyla S. (posted on July 13, 2005)

Call TNCARE and ask them for a list of doctors. If they list doctors that you have already talked to then tell TNCARE that you were denied care by these doctors.

I don't believe any surgeons in Chattanooga presently accept Tenncare. I live in Chattanooga (I have BlueCare)and my primary care doctor gave me a list of surgeons in the entire state that accepted it - I chose Dr. Villaneuva, who is in Sweetwater, TN. From my first consult with him until my actual surgery was only a couple of months. I am satisfied with him, and the drive wasn't nearly as bad as it would have been if I had gone to Nashville.
