Not much! Slippers, but most of all, CHAPSTICK!!!!!!! I took a magazine, a book, a nightgown, robe, never used any of it. The one thing I didn't take was chapstick but my husband did get me some. Also, make sure you either wear some comfy clothes when you go to the hospital or at least take some to weat home. Good luck!

Definitely slippers, and some sort of lip balm. I brought things to read and some crossword puzzles/wordfinds, but my eyesight was messed up by either (or both) the anesthesia or the morphine. I slept a lot, anyway. Bring a calling card if you have loved ones you'd like to call while in the hospital, so you don't ring up a phone bill in the hospital. If you do the calling card thing, I recommend writing down in larger print the 800 number provided by the card, and the card ID number. Again, I had a hard time reading, and the print on the back of the card is hard enough as it is. Other than that... just make sure you have comfy clothes to leave the hospital in. I also brought in my own pillow. Best of luck to you!

I took a little pillow, like a traveling pillow. It will fit in places that a bigger one wont to make you more comfy. Thankfully the hospital had all sorts of fans because I was REALLY warm. Good luck!!!!!

Your own pillow!! The small pillow is a good idea too, but the pillow you normally use to sleep with is a must. Hospital pillows just aren't the same. Carmen

My doctors gave me a list of what to take and I swear I laughed when I saw "Baby Wipes" & "Tongs" I promise you it was the best tip I got! Believe me they were a big help so you wouldn't have to bend over to clean yourself after using the bathroom. I continued to use them for two weeks after I came home. Good Luck !
