Question:
I don't like plan yogart. Can you have fruit flavored yogart?

What are some suggestions for doctoring up plan yogart. Does somebody have a favorite brand they can recommend.    — [Anonymous] (posted on September 10, 1999)

Any sugar free, fat free or low fat, depending on your doctors recommendations, would be fine. I use a house brand for my grocery that is sweetened with aspartame and there are a lot of good flavors. I'd check with your doc first though.

Try Vanilla flavor yogart. There are creamy and custard textured yogarts, and it all depends on your personal tastes, however be sure to get one with a LIVE culture in it. Otherwise you might as well have pudding. (which, by the way, comes in sugar free :o) )

My favorite is Stony Field Farm yogurt. I add fresh fruit, grapenuts, raisins, and all sorts of things to my yogurt. Alternatively, you can try one of the "light" yogurts made with NutraSweet in one of the fruit flavors.

I eat Yoplait fat free fruit yogurt (has a blue lid on a white container). It is one of the best tasting to me and I don't have any trouble with it causing dumping from sugar.

I was not a big yogurt fan either, but I found a few ways that I could eat it and it didn't taste too bad. First of all you can have yogurt that has fruit in it I usually eat Dannon Light or Yoplait Light or I get the store brands and they're not too bad. I put fruit in mine and cinnamon, I've also put in dry Cheerios(gives it a sort of nutty crunch). I think my favorite is peach with peaches in it and cinnamon sprinkled in it, its like eating desert. Hope this helps some. I also liked to put grapes in the yogurt or just chop up some fresh fruit put Vanilla yogurt over it and some more cinnamon. The cinnamon really makes a difference. Let me know how you like it. Jan Terry

I really like Columbo Lite fruit flavored yogurt--and it only has 5 grams of sugar per serving!! Good luck--

I prefer Yoplait or Dannon Light because they're so low in sugar. I'm partial to peach. I mix peach protein powder into it! YUM! I've tried wild berry protein in the raspberry yogurt and some other combinations, but my favorite is peach in peach!

There are flavored yogurts out there that have aspartame in them, they don't taste too bad.

If it is sweetened with nutrasweet and flavored, not actual fruit, you should fine a number of flavors that are under 9 g sugar per serving and shouldn't experience dumping with that little.
