Question:
Has anyone had surgery with or know about Dr Eagon of St. Louis?
This doctor is not listed, yet he performs the LAP.I wonder how good he is if he is not well-known. — Jody H. (posted on September 3, 2000)

I don't know much about him, but I am going to Dr.Scott in Wentzville, MO.
and have heard that he is very very good and teaches the LAP to other
Doctors. That is who I am going to have mine done with on Sept.22. He is
about 20mins west of St.Louis. If you would like to ask any questions feel

I had my surgery on 5-9-00 with Dr. Scott in St. Louis, MO. He is a
wonderful surgeon. I have lost 50 lbs so far. He also is one of very few
in St. Louis that does LAP surgery. If you have any questions please

I had my surgery with Dr. Yates who does open only. But there is a sight
for Missouri people with whom everyone who has had the surgery or is
thinking about having the surgery no matter who your doctor is could give
you the answer you are looking for about dr. Eagon. I heard he was a good

I am currently seeing Dr. Eagon in St. Louis. My surgery should happen in
the next couple of months. Dr. Eagon is very thorough and answers all
questions patiently. He came highly recommended to me from a surgeon
friend and he is connected with Washington University at St. Louis and
Barnes Hospital, one of the best hospitals in the country. I highly

Dr. Eagon is WONDERFUL! I had a lap RNY done in Oct. of '00, and he has
been outstanding in every aspect of my care. He sat very patiently and for
quite sometime answering all my pre-op questions. He still takes an
extraordinate amount of time to ensure all my concerns and questions are
attended to. I have nothing but superb things to say about this Dr., and
wholeheartedly trust in his skills. As a nurse, I've come across a wide
variety of doctors, and he is definitely in a league of his own!
