Question:
Need help finding Dallas area surgeon.

Can anyone in the Dallas area recommend a surgeon that is covered under the Aetna US Healthcare (HMO) policy? I live just outside of Dallas and am looking for a good surgeon to perform WLS. I have heard that many doctors in the DFW area are scheduling surgeries six months out. I would appreciate your referrals.    — [Anonymous] (posted on May 28, 2001)

Dr. Henry Horrilleno accepts your insurance and he did my surgery. I cannot say enough wonderful things about him!

Dr. Raul Rodriguez in Dallas Dr. Henry Horrilleno in Dallas Dr. Stephen Hamn in Plano Most of the doctors I called in Dallas had at least a five month wait just to get an appoinment. I didn't want to wait that long just go get an appointment and then probably another 2 or 3 months for the surgery. I decided to go to Dr. Warnock in Wichita Falls. He only had a three week wait to get an appointment and I will be having surgery in August. I have Aetna US Healthcare but have PPO and not HMO.

Try calling Sabring at Dr John Alexander;s office. He is in North Dallas, Farmers Branch area off of Josey or Webbs Chappel. I have been researching this surgery and Dr Alexander is getting rave reviews from his patients. You may also try Dr Lawrence Barzune. He works out of Medical City on Forrest Lane. Good Luck to you.
