Question:
Any suggestions on how to speed up insurance approval through BTC?

I am getting married next June and just started the approval process with my first consultation at BTC yesterday. I want the surgery ASAP, so I can be beautiful for the wedding and they said it could take up to 90 days to get me approved. Can anybody offer any tips or advice as to how to speed this up? The most important thing is to UNDERSTAND the process as it can be tedious. As your request moves from one person to the next, each person filling in their piece of the puzzle, things can and often do go wrong. It is up to you ultimately to act like a director and keep things going the way they are supposed to go to get a timely approval. Make progress checks periodically(after each step of the process)and verify that what is said was done...actually got done. Log who you spoke to and the date/time of coversation. Keep names, phone #s, fax #s, and addresses of contact people both at BTC and your insurance company.
