does anyone know if publix supermarket insurance cover wls?

Call the benefits department @ the human resource dept where you work and ask them if your insurance excludes weight loss surgery. You can save time and heartache. If wls is excluded...all is not loss....your employer can authorize coverage as an "extra-contractual benefit". You have to be proactive and support your need for the surgery with your employer. That means giving out a lot of personal information. But it beats paying for it yourself. It worked for my husband. Wls isn't covered. But, his employer authorized it for him only as an "extra contracual benefit". Many people don't know that that is an option.
