Hi Mica, it is me again. You went to Dr.Gibbs seminar right? I read a post a couple of weeks ago that he said he didnt think you qualified>? I prayed you would find an alternative seems you still have hope so great for you. Anyway I am now 9 days post op from Dr. Gibbs and he requires no pre op tests if you are a relitavely healthy person. He doesnt require a leak test unless there is a reason to suspect a leak. You come to your room post op with nothing but an iv and a cathater. Or atleast I did. He is kinda a no nonsence doctor. Believes in having only tests you actually need. So if you are a healthy person pre op you should be post op as well. I can tell you Dr. Gibbs is a leader in his field. The nurses told us they tread very carefully around Dr. Gibbs and do exactly what he says. So that should give you some confidence. My scar will fade to nothing. only a little line and I had the open procedure. I hope this settles your anxiety. If you have further questions, call Ashley at his office, she will be glad to talk to you. Have a good day

I agree with the previous poster. Dr. Gibbs is a no-nonsense doctor. I had a lap procedure done by him on August 1 and have lost 55 pounds so far! He answers all of your questions but did no pre or post op tests on me. All I had was the IV when I woke up. No tubes or anything. I was out in 2 days. It was alot easier than I expected althought I did not think so at first! He is a really good doctor. Trust him.
