Question:
Has anyone ever used Benesight Insurance to get approved for gastric bypass surgery?

YES! I was approved and a friend/co-worker of mine. They were very fast and very nice. It only took abt 2 weeks. I had all the info ready when I went in for my consult, including a picture. They faxed it to Benesight, then Benesight had to send to Golden Valley (??) to be approved. A nurse from Golden Valley called me herself and called my doctor's office. They were awesome. Is your company self insured through Benesight? I could explain some other things if they are. I am the benefits person where I work and it could make a difference. Email me if you want.

YES!! I was approved today. It took about 3 weeks. The claims rep that I was dealing with was very nice, and helpful. It went to a review board, but was approved on the first letter. However, they did not cover my initial doctor visit. My doctor is going to appeal it.
