Question:
Okay, I need some responses from post-ops on hair loss......Help!

I am 6-1/2 months post op and thought the hair loss would be slowing down by not but IT'S GETTING WORSE. I just cleaned by bathroom thoroughly this past weekend and already (I live alone) there is hair all over the basin, the toilet top, on the beige carpet, and worst of all, when I was rinsing the tub yesterday morning, not only was there hair, but there was a CLUMP of hair that went down. So now I am really getting concerned, is my hair going to start falling out in patches? Anyone and everyone who has gone through this please take a second to tell me your experience and what you did. I'm taking every vitamin I should (four times daily) and I am using a gentle shampoo and have recently even stopped blow drying my hair. It's getting thin up there and I don't like it. I don't want to trade thin for bald! Advice? Help! Yes, I'm getting all my protein in PLUS. I'm doing everything right I think. I do wash my hair daily. I have to.    — blank first name B. the hair loss is a scary thing. i am at 10 1/2 months and am still losing a little. it should start slowing down for you in about a month. just dont panic cuz the nerves probably arent helping the hair loss situation. it will stop. you wont go bald and it what you have lost will come back. just sit back and enjoy the weight loss. i do know it is scary but think about your new body ..

Try using Nioxin shampoo. I noticed a big difference in the amount of hair I lost when I used this. There is also a conditioner and vitamin spray. I bought mine at a Cost Cutters discount store. It's scary, but eventually stops.

That a question that was brought up at the biartic surgery seminar. first thing was your hair coming out before? Do you dye or perm your hair? I started a liquid protien diet and I noticed the oppisite my hair is usually thin and slow growing but now my hair seems to be thicker and it grows faster. I don't want to tell you this but it is the women in the family who have the gene's for baldness and often pass it on to the male offspring. So first thing you need to investigate is that this could be just nature. I suggest trying rogain. to stop the lost of hair. also a deep conditioner to treat your scalp. Also you may be over doing it on the vitimins Ive never heard any body taking that many vitimins in a course of a day. I usually just take them with breakfast. and the protein drinks have them added to it. So that may be your problem right there.
