Cost In Illinois

The cost of your surgery will depend on MANY factors. And you will never know until all is said and done. What if you have complications? That being said, my surgery was in St. Louis in 2001. For the Hospital and surgeon it was over 40,000. dollars. If you are going self pay, you might check into the surgeons in Mexico. Several people here have had sucess.

Terry, I had Lap in Jan 04 and just my hospital bill (Chicago) was over $35,000.00. I have no idea what the surgeon even charged as with my insurance I never see the bills. I can say that having it done in the city was much more expensive than I could have had it in Rockford, which is closer to my home. I only went to Chicago because my insurance required it. Good Luck.

Ooopps....I should have mentioned that I was admitted on Fri and discharged on Sunday with NO complications. No ICU or anything, and it was still over $35,000. Angela
