Question:
My husband is considering surgery, but wants it done laprascopically...

I just recently heard that there is a doctor and the Royal Oak Beaumont
Hospital. I don't know his name. I guess that this hospital just started
doing this in the past few months.

If you look at the top of this page there is a page called "find
peers".....go to it and click on to your state. It lists people in
your state by towns, in alphabetical order.......you'll find what you need
to know there.......

I grew up in mIchigan and wanted it done there. We could not find ONE
surgeon that did it. Neil Marymor was the last that we heard but he doee
not anymore. I talked to some of the secretarys and they said it was not
"cost effective" for them.

I think BTC opened a new center in Holland, MI and they may indeed do lap

Dr. Baker at Michigan Medical P.C. in Grand Rapids, MI does lap RNY. Also
Dr. Scholten in Grand Rapids, though the wait is longer to get scheduled
for surgery with him and he requires a weight loss before he will do
surgery. I hope to be having RNY with Dr. Baker in the next few weeks,
just waiting for a date. i was just cleared this week. He has done many
surgeries lap that I know of and they have a super post op program for
