Does anyone know of a general surgeon in Philidelphia area who does RnY?

I went with Dr. Matthew Kirkland. I had my surgery on July 20, 2001, had an incisional leak whick turned into an infecteion. I like Dr. Kirkland and he seems to know what he is doing on the operating table, but he doesn't spend too much time with you afterwards. So far I have lost 70 pounds from 244 to 174 from at size 22/24 to a size 15/16 and they are getting big. From a 2X shirt to a large. Now I would say that I would do it again in a heartbeat. Recovery is painful and long, but it is worth it in the end. Good luck. By the way, you can look up Dr. Kirkland on the find Docs part of this site and put in the letter K at the bottom under the map and it will list many doctors including him. Research him and see what others say.

I chose Dr.Dempsey from Temple University Hospital. My surgery was 11/16/2001. He answered all my questions, I have no problems as of yet.Any questions u may have I'd be happy to answer.You may e-mail me @ [email protected]
