Question:
Has anyone had an insurance (champva) who does not required preauthorizathion ?

I have champva and they do not required preauthorization. They said that the only requirement they have is to have a bmi of 40+. They will do not send out approval letters since the do not preauthorize. My surg. office is having a problem with this. They can call and talk to my insurance directly but require it in writing. Maybe you could e-mail this woman: Laurie, she lives in the UP - of MI. LOOK UNDER FIND PEERS FOR: Laurie L. I read the same thing about no pre authorization on her profile. I am pre-op and my insurance is the same as hers. What she wrote comforted my worries because I will have surgery without insurance pre-authorization. Good luck!
