Question:

It looks like i may not get an approval. Im interested in use Walter Lindstrom for me appeal. Can someone help me with my next step. I can not provide a 12th of supervised dieting. How much will it cost me? Is it worth it? What are the odds of him getting it approved for me? Walter is very experienced with these types of pitfalls. You can contact him via his website at obesitylaw.com. It will take him about 45 days to write a letter to your insurance company. He will need your entire packet of information that was submitted initially. Do keep in mind, that while you are working on this you could be doing your monthly visits to your PCP for the attempted weight loss history. Remember, the insurance companies depend on the doctor not documenting the right way, so make sure your doctor documents type of diet, #of calories per day, what type of exercise, you keep a daily calendar of what you do, and behavior modification. Take your calendar to your visits, have the doctor sign off on it and it become a part of your medical record. The insurance company can't deny it.
