Question:
What is the statute of limitations to appeal a denial for surgery?

I was denied the first time I sent a letter from my physician. I just found a gentelman who is fight the insurance companies and helping folks like me to get covered. It has been sevral months... Insurance laws are made by state legislatures so this could be different depending on where you live. Call you state's insurance commission. They should be able to tell you if there is a law regarding appeals in your state. Also, there may be something in your policy which sets rules for appeals. You should be able to get a copy of the policy from your employer.
